Award Winning Camp
For 25 years now, Light House Studio has offered filmmaking workshops for our community. Last year, our filmmakers celebrated 34 national film festival acceptances and earned 21 awards.
Every workshop concludes with a red-carpet screening for family and friends at the Vinegar Hill Theatre!
What Is Light House Summer Film Academy?
Summer Film Academy is where students of all ages learn new skills by writing, directing, and editing their own short films! Our hands-on workshops are one or two weeks long and run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
New workshops start every week, starting June 1 and ending August 14. Students are divided into elementary (rising 3rd - 5th graders), middle school (rising 6th - 8th graders), and high school (rising 9th graders through college freshmen).
Will You Need Tuition Assistance?
Tuition Assistance is available for all Summer Film Academy workshops. Submit your application for tuition assistance here, and a member of our team will be in touch ASAP with further instructions. Applications are reviewed case by case, and aid is dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis; submitting the application is not a guarantee of assistance. Please email programs@lighthousestudio.org with any questions.
Accounts Required For Registration
First-time attendees must create an Amilia account when registering for Summer Film Academy workshops. If you have any questions, reach out to us for assistance via email at programs@lighthousestudio.org.
