Instructor Denise Stewart is back this winter to teach another session of Screenwriting! Denise has mentored many students at Light House, some of which have written screenplays that have gone on to be developed into short films. Understanding story structure is an essential tool for every filmmaker. This 5-week course will give you the foundational knowledge you need to write a screenplay, whether it be for a five-minute short or a feature-length film. Learn the basics of pitching your idea, outlining in three acts, understanding your characters, dialogue work, the revision process, and more.
Please come to the first workshop with a few ideas you would like to explore.
**Finished screenplays will be considered for production in the coming year! The final produced films could be selected for film festival submissions.**
