Description:
From Godzilla to Cloverfield to Pacific Rim, giant monsters have captivated moviegoers for nearly a century. In this class, students will study the history and techniques of giant monster movies (otherwise known as kaiju films) and then team up to make one of their own! Students will build a miniature city then make a giant monster using costumes and animation to wreak havoc and destruction upon their handcrafted metropolis. This course is perfect for middle schoolers interested in arts and sculpture, visual effects, and animation.
