Go behind the scenes and learn how your favorite movies were made and how to make your own cinematic masterpieces in Intro to Filmmaking. You will learn the basic fundamentals of directing, cinematography, editing, special effects and stop motion animation. We will start the week learning the essential techniques and vocabulary of filmmaking through hands on exercises, screenings and discussions. Students will immediately use their newfound cinematic skills to write, direct, shoot and edit TWO films, a live action adventure on the downtown mall and an animated short.
