The Arts Administration intern will work closely with the Production Manager and sometimes the Engagement Director in strategizing and implementing marketing for workshops, events, and screenings at Light House Studio. The Arts Admin intern must have experience in social media marketing, creative writing, brainstorming, and organization. Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop are plus! Additional responsibilities might include contributing to weekly blog posts for the Light House website.
The Production intern will work closely with the Senior Teaching Artist in creating fun, engaging, informative, and inspiring videos for Light House Marketing, recruitment, and Behind the Scenes films. The Production Intern must have experience brainstorming, producing, setting up cameras and mics, and editing projects in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere and be comfortable executing films their own while exercising creative freedom. During summer months, the production intern will create a weekly “Behind the Scenes” short film to be shown at every screening, as well as a “Teaching Artist Promo” and “Camp Promo”.
The Program Intern will work closely with the Program Director as well as the Senior Teaching Artist and Production Manager to support all Light House Studio educational programming. While responsibilities may apply to program conception, marketing, and development, they will certainly be focused on program facilitation (set up and break down of studio and classroom spaces, teaching and engaging with young artist/filmmakers, ages 8 through 18, etc). Experience as a teacher, camp counselor or child care provider is a huge plus. A genuine interest in and a respect for kids is mandatory. Experience/interest in filmmaking and/or animation and storytelling is also mandatory. Specific projects may include: assisting teaching artists/teaching in classes and workshops on site at Vinegar Hill Theatre and off site in schools and community centers, preparing workshop spaces for incoming classes, clean-up and break down of workshops and spaces, assisting in creative forms of marketing and communications to support and develop programs and MORE!
