On November 9, 2019, the Indie Short Film Series will hit the screen of the Vinegar Hill Theatre with six short films proceeded by a panel discussion with various filmmakers. Featured on this screening event are Eucology of Love Starring super producer and artist, Pharrell Williams, Mingle directed by Ty Cooper, 800lb Gorilla directed by Dana Verde, The Showroom Effect directed by Amy Hart, Thurman Comes Home directed by Bruce Gorman, and a special film announcement to follow soon.

The panelists for the after-discussion are: AMY HART (VA), TY COOPER (VA), DANA VERDE (NY), BRUCE GORMAN (NY), AND RICHARD BIRD (NY).

Doors open at 5:30PM. Screenings begin at 6:00PM. Tickets are only $8.

“In this comedy, Tyler is overwhelmed from the pressure of his hypochondriac mother with the desire for him to find a girlfriend and have a baby. He goes out on a mission to find a relationship at a speed dating event but an unlikely person may be the prize.”

THE SHOWROOM EFFECT: Writer & Director AMY HART (VA)

A short film about a day in the life of quirky interior designer Laura Sykes. She handles this tough day with charm and an overactive imagination.

THURMAN COMES HOME: Writer & Director BRUCE GORMAN (NY)

A homeless man reflects upon his life when he is unexpectedly met by an old mentor.

800lb GORILLA: Writer & Director DANA VERDE (NY)

A woman is harassed by a gorilla, that only she can see after she binge-watches racist videos on social media. The two of them end up in therapy in the hopes that he will finally leave her alone.
