18th Annual Youth Film Festival

Save the date

Light House is thrilled to present the excellent work our students produced this year at our 18th Annual Youth Film Festival! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 7th @5:30pm at The Paramount Theater. Our Youth Film Festival (YFF) generates 30% of our operating budget, allowing us to work with community youth and provide almost $108,000 in scholarships. To create the lineup for the festival, films are selected from:

  • Nearly 300 student films created over the last year by the 1,751 students we serve each year.
  • Work produced in more than 121 workshops, ranging from animation and visual effects to documentary and narrative storytelling.
  • Clips from collaborations with almost 70 nonprofit organizations and schools.

So far our 2018 films have already been accepted into 31 national and international festivals like New York Festivals TV & Films Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival and Sarasota Film Festival, seven of them winning awards. Be the first to see new Light House student films before they hit the 2020 film festival circuit!

We look forward to seeing you on September 7th!
