Description:
Did you know that video game players solved a molecular puzzle in three weeks that stumped scientists for years and that there are video games being created to solve real-world problems. This hands-on workshop will take you through the creative process of designing your own video game including storyboarding, character creation and game development. We’ll experiment with a couple of video game design platforms, including one that generates games for mobile devices. Your creation may ultimately lead to a submission for the next National STEM Video Game Challenge!

Mentor:
Kim Wilkens, Teen Tech Girls founder, has worked in the tech industry and tech education. Kim is passionate about empowering kids to move from using technology to become technology creators, collaborators and activists.

Tuition:
$150
