LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Now what…? Want to be the next great filmmaker, but don’t exactly know where to start? Light House Studio is now accepting students for our 2015 summer film camps. Whether you are interested in directing, acting, editing, cinematography, sound, or set design, Light House Studio will provide a solid foundation for aspiring young filmmakers to flourish in their creativity. A schedule of this year’s summer workshops is listed below:
Intro to Filmmaking (2 sessions): June 1-5 or June 15-19 ages 12-14
Intro to Animation: June 8-12 ages 12-14
Intermediate Filmmaking (2 sessions): June 8-12 or June 15-19 ages 13-16
Young Directors (2 sessions): June 22-26 or June 29-July 3 ages 8-11
VFX (2 weeks): June 22-July 3 grades 9th-12th

Light House students’ films have recently been accepted to two film festivals!
Four student films (two of which were made from our 2014 summer film camps): Resonant (by Elizabeth Cassell, Sanders Evans, Shantel Winslow, and Ryan Beard), Beatrix (by Grace Hoffman and Michelle Miles), Lost (by Elizabeth Cassell), and Ephemeral (by Oliver Schwartz) have been accepted to the William and Mary Global Film Festival, which will take place February 19-22. Additionally, Breaking Character (by Will Jones, Saunder Boyle, Tilden Lexa, Stephen French, Eva Lucy Alvarado, Nick Brozey, Samuel Olegnowicz, and Greg Nachmanovitch) and Shadow Show (by Caroline Cox, Nick Keen, Becca Meaney, and Rico Vigliottio) have been selected to premiere at the Sun Valley Film Festival in Idaho this year!
