In this fast-paced hands-on workshop we’ll cover the tricks of the trade in video production! Have you ever struggled to get what you want from an actor? Do you know how to avoid “crossing the line” during filming? Have you wondered what the difference is between shutter speed and frames per second? This workshop will answer these questions and more!
Each day will feature a different topic, including cinematography, lighting, production techniques and roles, directing, and editing.With visits from guest filmmakers, you’ll get the inside scoop on how movies and tv shows are created. This workshop will go beyond the basics to prepare you for Documentary, Music Video, Narrative filmmaking, or even landing your first PA job!
This program is designed by the talented director and DP, Mark Farmwald.
Mark Farmwald is a versatile director, DP, photographer, art director, vintage audio gear collector, and proud traveling companion of his dog Keeper (they’ve been on hundreds of outdoor adventures all over the US). Mark began his career as a NYC art director for Molton Brown—a luxury bath and body brand. His extensive experience in the fashion and lifestyle category, along with his time spent studying photography with the New York fine art photographer Amos Chan, helped him develop his unique aesthetic and build an impressive director/DP reel that includes award-winning work for Walmart, Belk, Boar’s Head, Florida Hospital, Feeding America, and countless others.
