This winter/spring Film Club features special guest Mentors from our community.
Guest Mentors are filmmakers or film enthusiasts with a unique perspective and approach to film criticism. Ranging from personal work to films which played an influential role in their life, each Wednesday screening will be chosen and curated by the featured guest Mentor.
Following the screening we’ll discuss the cinematic and artistic devices used in the film as well as the film’s cultural impact. These critical discussions are an excellent way for students to increase their analytical abilities as well as their media literacy. It’s also an incredibly fun environment to meet peers with similar interests and to see some films you may have heard about, but never taken the time to watch.
Guest mentors throughout the semester will include local filmmakers such as John Johnson, Lydia Moyer, Paul Wagner, Wesley Harris and MORE. Sign up to get the full schedule of mentors!
